DRUG TESTING

Red Apple Diagnostics has partnered with Quest Diagnostics to provide any
type of drug screening available. The most common drug screen types
are 5 and 10 panel urine drug screens.
Pre-Employment: A pre-employment drug test may be required for a newly hired employee or any employee already working within a company before they can perform any safety sensitive functions.
Random-Drug Testing: A certain percentage of employees who work in safety sensitive positions (DOT/CDL drivers) may be required to be randomly tested. Additionally, if the company has recently implemented a drug-free workplace program, employees may have to submit to an unannounced random drug test every year.
Reasonable Suspicion: If an employer has reason to believe that an employee's behavior or appearance may indicate drug or alcohol use, then the employer may have a reasonable cause drug test performed on that employee.
Post-Accident Testing: A post-accident drug test must be performed following an accident where:
- A life was lost
- A driver is cited for a moving traffic violation AND the accident resulted in somone being injured and requiring treatment
- The driver is cited for a moving traffic violation AND one or more vehicles has to be towed from the scene of the accident.
